Five different species of birds with a migratory disposition, the Rhodope Pelicans in impressive numbers with more than 3000 individuals and daily departure from Kerkini after completing their long aerial cycles in search of warm air masses that will help them on their journey.

The Sycophagi are everywhere and as suddenly as they appear in front of you, you lose them from your field of vision. Their young have now grown up and are ready for the challenge of this long journey.

Purple herons, cuckoos and many reed warblers are also looking towards Africa!
